Sexsmith “improving the efficiency of municipal buildings”

The Town of Sexsmith has completed a number of energy-efficient upgrades.

Upgrades to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing systems were done at several municipal facilities, including; “the Sexsmith Arena, the Civic Centre, town administration and chamber buildings.”

According to Mayor Kate Potter, this project will make facilities “more reliable and comfortable for everyone,” and it’s “a practical investment in our community,” while reflecting the town’s commitment to “responsible asset management and long-term sustainability.”

Work included “replacing aging equipment with modern, high-efficiency systems,” and was “designed to reduce energy consumption, lower operating costs, and improve overall system reliability.”

Funds for this work were provided by the province, through the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre’s Community Energy Conservation program.
