Storm sweep Wolverines, move into first place

The Storm are now in first place in the AJHL’s North Division after sweeping a weekend home-and-home series against Whitecourt.

Grande Prairie won 4-3 in a shootout at home Friday night, then won 3-2 in overtime in Whitecourt on Saturday.

Grande Prairie now has 66 points, good for first place and a single point up on Whitecourt.

The Wolverines have two games in hand and will host Bonnyville on Friday and Devon on Saturday.

The Storm next play Sunday at home against Devon. Face-off time will be 2:00 p.m.
