Winter parking bans resume in Grande Prairie Feb.18, residential clearing to return Feb. 19

Winter Parking bans are returning to Grande Prairie following Monday and Tuesday’s significant snowfall.

Effective 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, parking is restricted on Priority 1 and 2 roads from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

These routes include main roads, transit corridors, and roads frequently used by emergency vehicles and need to be kept free of parked vehicles to allow for efficient snow clearing.

Residential snow clearing will return Thursday as crews resume the Week A schedule, starting in Kensington, Mission Heights, O’Brien Lake and Stone Ridge.

Temporary parking restrictions will also be in place in those neighbourhoods Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
