Province announces new complexity teams for Grande Prairie schools
The Government of Alberta has pledged $143 million to hire complexity teams to assist schools, including several in the Grande Prairie area.
The 476 complexity teams will support students in facing academic, behavioural, social and emotional challenges.
They will be working to help students learn English, support students with complex learning needs, and working to manage disruptive behaviours.
Locally, the teams have been divided into two teams for the Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools, three for the Grande Prairie Public School Division, one for the Holy Family Catholic Regional Division, one for the Peace River School Division, and two for the Peace Wapiti Public School Division.
