Snow clearing in City and County of Grande Prairie resumes Feb. 19

Residential snow removal is set to restart on Thursday for the City and County of Grande Prairie.

City teams will begin with the Week A neighbourhoods of Kensington, Mission Heights, O’Brien Lake, and Stone Ridge.

In the County, crews will begin in the Hamlet of Clairmont.

Parking restrictions will be in place in the work areas from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the city and 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the county.

Snow clearing schedules and parking ban information are available on the City and County’s websites.

Environment Canada’s Daily Data report says Grande Prairie had 20.6 centimetres, or just over eight inches of snow on Monday and Tuesday.

 The report says there were 11 centimetres on Monday and another 9.6 centimetres on Tuesday.
