Annual Winter Family Frostival returns this weekend

Pipestone Creek Campground is hosting the County of Grande Prairie’s annual Winter Family Frostival this coming Saturday (Feb. 28).

The festivities will take place from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and is free to attend. Registration before participating is recommended so the County has enough supplies for everyone in attendance.

An afternoon of winter fun activities will consist of wagon rides, snowshoeing (limited availability), snow painting, warm-up fires, s’mores and hot chocolate, and more!

The County suggests people dress for the weather conditions. The event will be cancelled if the temperature dips below -20°C with windchill at 8:00 a.m. on Feb. 28.
