County of Grande Prairie to launch video series on local agriculture

The County of Grande Prairie will be saluting the agriculture industry in a new video series.

The series is called Rooted in the County. The first video in the 17-part series will be released on Friday (Feb. 27) on the County’s YouTube channel.

New ones will be revealed on the following Fridays.

A release from the county says that the series “highlights a diverse range of agricultural operations across the County, including agri-tourism experiences and production-focused businesses that form the backbone of the regional economy.”

The release goes on to say that each installment “features local producers and operators sharing the history of their businesses, the challenges and opportunities within the sector, and their passion for agriculture in the county.”

The videos will include what it calls “a diverse range of agricultural operations,” with “agri-tourism experiences and production-focused businesses.”
