Month long investigation leads to drug & weapon seizure
Late last month, Grande Prairie RCMP executed a search warrant at two properties in the City, as part of an illegal drug trafficking investigation.
Mounties say throughout February, the detachments’ Municipal Drug Unit gathered enough evidence to conduct two search warrants on Thursday, Feb. 26.
With assistance the Grande Prairie Police Service, Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams, and Alberta RCMP Police Dog Service, the following items were seized:
- 144 grams of cocaine
- 178 grams of methamphetamine
- A litre of GHB
- 5 handguns
- 1 loaded Ruger 10/22 rifle
- Over $15,000 in Canadian currency
- 86,000 contraband cigarettes
- Drug trafficking paraphernalia
- A 2019 Audi SQ5
- A 2024 Toyota Landcruiser
Twenty-two-year-old Zachary Taylor Bruce, 20-year-old Koltin Charles-Rumsey and 24-year-old Kael Jerome Bruce, all of Grande Prairie were arrested and face 21 charges combined.
