NWJHL
In the Northwest Junior Hockey League playoffs, La Crete has advanced to the league final after beating the County Wheat Kings 4-1 in their series.
The Limber Barons won three games over the weekend by scores of 5-4, 4-3 and 5-2.
Fort St. John leads Peace River 3-1 after 5-4 and 6-1 wins over the weekend. Game 5 Tuesday in Fort St. John.
NPHL
In the North Peace Hockey League playoffs Tuesday, Manning in Grande Prairie. The Comets have a 3-0 series lead after a 5-3 win at home Saturday.
Dawson Creek in Spirit River Tuesday. The Rangers won 6-5 in overtime Saturday in Dawson Creek to take a 2-1 series lead. The road team has won every game in this series.
Wolves
The Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves ended up in fourth place at the ACAC Men’s Volleyball Championship in Red Deer.
NWP lost the bronze medal game 3-2 to Lethbridge Polytechnic Saturday.
The Wolves had lost 3-0 to Keyano College in the semi-finals on Friday.
Keyano went on to lose 3-1 to Red Deer Polytechnic in the gold medal game, also played Saturday.
