Mounties in McLennan are now looking for the other driver involved in a fatal collision on Highway 49 last month.

RCMP say on Feb. 18, between 1 and 2 p.m., a “newer black Ford F-150” attempted to pass a logging truck on Highway 49, just south of Highway 676. However, the black F-150 was on a collision-course with an oncoming semi hauling petroleum, resulting in the semi maneuvering to avoid the pick-up, causing the semi to roll over into the ditch.

Due to the crash, the driver of the semi later succumbed to their injuries, while the truck driver left the scene.

Mounties are now searching for the driver of a black Ford F-150 and provided a description along with photos:

  • Newer model Ford F150
  • Colour: Black
  • Rims: Black
  • Truck Bed: Black soft roll-up cover
  • Accessories: Silver trim (grill, side vent covers and side mirrors)
