NPHL
Spirit River won 4-3 in Dawson Creek Thursday night to take a 3-2 lead in their North Peace Hockey League semi-final series.
The Rangers will host Game 6 Saturday. Puck drop is set for 8:30 p.m.
The road team has won every game in this series so far.
NWJHL
The Northwest Junior Hockey League will start Saturday with Fort St. John in La Crete.
Face-off time will be 7 p.m.
Game 2 will be played Sunday in La Crete, starting at 1:30 p.m.
Curling
The Grande Prairie Curling Centre is hosting the Masters men’s and women’s provincials through Sunday. More information can be found here.
The men’s and women’s Club Championship qualifier is set for Friday through Sunday in Peace River.
There are two men’s and three women’s teams taking part.
Draw times for men and women will be 7 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Women’s qualifier games, if needed, would be played at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Ski Hills
Nitehawk ski hill is open until 9 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The Tube Zone is closed Friday, but will be open from noon-2 and 2:30-4:30 Saturday and Sunday.
Whispering Pines Ski Hill is open Saturday and Sunday from 10-4. The rental shop and chalet open at 9 a.m.
Spring Lake Ski Hill is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Little Smoky Ski Area is open from 10 a.m until 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Fairview Ski Hill is open from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Misery Mountain is open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
