Balderston, Bakker win Masters curling titles in Grande Prairie

The Kurt Balderston and Glenys Bakker rinks won the Masters men’s and women’s provincial championships Sunday, Mar. 8 at the Grande Prairie Curling Centre.

Bakker defeated Cathy Borys 10-2 in the women’s final.

Balderston’s Grande Prairie rink beat the Mickey Pendergast team from both Calgary and Red Deer 7-6 to take the men’s crown.

Balderston scored a deuce in the final end to seal the win.
