MD of Greenview Council considering guarantee bylaw to repay portion of Maskwa Medical Center loan

The Municipal District of Greenview Council is considering a guarantee bylaw that would support construction of the Maskwa Medical Center.

Bylaw 26-1016 would allow the MD to guarantee repayment for a $5 million portion of the loan between the Alberta Treasury Branch and Maskwa Medical Center Inc.

Greenview electors who disagree with the bylaw may file a petition by April 9 at the latest.

The Maskwa Medical Center is currently set to open this year, despite a lack of provincial funding in the 2026 Alberta Budget.
