Grande Prairie youth opens Inspire Arts Concert at NWP March 13

A local youth will be kicking off a piano concert at Northwestern Polytechnic on Friday evening (Mar. 13).

Twelve-year-old pianist Felix Tang Liu will be the opening act for Daria Fedorova and Ilya Tasker’s performance as part of the Inspire Arts concert series.

Fedorova and Tasker will be performing pieces by composers Mussorgsky and Rachmaninoff during Friday’s concert, before running a Masterclass Saturday afternoon.

Liu was recognized by Conservatory Canada in 2023, winning first place in Alberta for Grade 7 Classical Piano.

The concert takes place Mar. 13, at Collins Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m.; the Masterclass goes at 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
