One of two men charged after Woking assault wanted after not showing up in court

Mar 14, 2026 | 6:03 AM

Spirit River RCMP say that one of the two men charged after an alleged assault in Woking is now wanted after not showing up in court.

Kyle Dale Hudson, 45 years old and from Woking, was due in Grande Prairie court on March 12 on assault and uttering threats counts. Mounties say he did not show up as scheduled, and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Another man charged, 44-year-old Matthew Blair Hachey, is due in Grande Prairie court March 23 on several weapons charges. He was earlier released on conditions.

The charges are related to an incident on February 24 of this year.

Police say they were called out to what they described as “an assault in progress” at a home in Woking. Other details on the incident were not released.

A search of the home turned up three firearms. RCMP say one of the weapons was loaded and hidden under a couch.

One suspect was arrested on the scene. A second arrest was made a short time later.

Anyone who knows where Hudson might be is asked to please contact the Spirit River RCMP at 780-864-3533.
