City of Grande Prairie joins Fair Electricity Distribution Alliance
Multiple Peace Region municipalities and chambers of commerce have joined a coalition raising awareness about differing electricity distribution rates in Alberta.
The Fair Electricity Distribution Alliance is reporting households in northern, east-central and southern Alberta are paying an average of $118 a month for electricity, compared to about $34 in non-impacted service areas.

The FEDA says where you live shouldn’t determine your power bill, and a resolution regarding distribution costs has been recently tabled at the Alberta Municipalities conventions with 75 per cent of the membership voting in favour.
