Multiple moose spotted in Crystal Park School field

Mar 18, 2026 | 11:56 AM

The City of Grande Prairie is advising residents of multiple sightings of moose within city limits.

Three large moose were spotted in the Crystal Park School Field earlier Wednesday morning.

The city is asking everyone to give the animals space and keep their dogs on leashes to prevent an encounter.

Anyone who sees a moose or other wild animals in a high population area like a school or park is asked to contact 311.

If you see a sick or aggressive moose, contact Alberta Fish and Wildlife Services at 780-538-5260.
