FSJ RCMP identify homicide victim at Charlie Lake

Fort St. John RCMP have identified the victim of a homicide that occurred at Charlie Lake Friday.

At approximately 11:10 p.m. on March 13, Mounties responded to a report of an incident at the Charlie Lake boat ramp, learning several people were involved in an altercation.

Mounties say one person sustained serious injures which they later succumbed to despite life-saving measures.

Investigators are identifying the victim as 25-year-old Gurkirat Manocha and are urging anyone with information regarding his death to contact the Fort. St. John RCMP detachment at 250‑787‑8140.

As the investigation is ongoing, RCMP say they will only share more information as it becomes available.
