Possible measles exposure in Fairview
The provincial government says an individual infected with the measles was in a public setting in Fairview this week.
On Tuesday, Mar. 17, 2026, the infected person was at the Fairview Health Complex’s Emergency Department from 10:45 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.
Anyone who attended this location during this time frame, who was born in or after 1970 and has fewer than two documented doses of measles-containing vaccine or has never had measles disease, may be at risk for developing measles and may be asked to take additional precautions if presenting to a healthcare facility.
People should monitor for symptoms of measles; like runny nose, cough, red eyes, fever, and a rash that develops 3 to 7 days after fever starts, are strongly encouraged to review their immunization records.
