UPDATE: Fox Creek, Whitecourt, and the MDs of Lesser Slave River also have warnings in place.

There are winter storm warnings out for the B.C Peace.

The forecast is calling for heavy snow at times and blowing snow Tuesday night. Some places could get 10 to 15 centimetres.

A yellow warning for snowfall is out for the City and County of Grande Prairie, the MD of Greenview as far south as Grande Cache and Little Smoky, the Willmore Wilderness Park and the Hinton area.

Environment Canada says what it calls “a long period of snowfall” will start the morning of Tuesday, Mar. 24 and continue into the morning of Wednesday, Mar. 25.

It says 15-25 centimetres of snow are expected.

The weather office says visibility will be reduced and travel “will likely be challenging.”
