PWPSD congratulating 2026 Artic Winter Games athletes

Peace Wapiti Public School Division is praising its students for their participation in the 2026 Arctic Winter Games.

Sixteen PWPSD students competed in several different events for Team Alberta North while in Whitehorse, YT, from March 8-15.

They were joined by Whispering Ridge Community School teacher Evan Senger as coach of the Male Arctic Sports Team.

The Arctic Winter Games include athletes from Greenland, Yukon, Nunavut, Alberta, Alaska, Northern Finland, and more as they promote an atmosphere of social interaction and cultural awareness.

PWPSD is congratulating all the athletes and Senger for their work representing their teams and communities on the international stage.
