PRRD Board seeks feedback on Golata Creek Hall replacement project

Mar 26, 2026 | 12:44 PM

Peace River Regional Division wants feedback from Golata Creek residents on a new community space.

The Golata Creek Hall has been closed since July 2022 due to safety concerns, and the PRRD Board has approved funding to develop either a new building or recreational space.

The board is presenting the public with six options for consideration on the space’s future:

  • Option 1: Picnic shelter and recreation amenities
  • Option 2: Outdoor pavilion
  • Option 3: Outdoor pavilion and recreation amenities
  • Option 4: Small, basic, serviced hall
  • Option 5: Small, basic, serviced hall and recreation amenities
  • Option 6: No further development

The selected option will potentially be voted on in a referendum in October.

Residents can share their thoughts by either attending a community meeting at the Clearview Arena Apr. 9 at 7:00 p.m. or by completing a survey open from Mar. 20 to Apr. 15.
