Highway 43 rematch for AJHL North Final

The Grande Prairie Storm will have a familiar dance partner in the AJHL North Final.

A 5-1 victory for the Whitecourt Wolverines led them to put the Fort McMurray Oil Barons away in five games.

Now, the Storm will take on Whitecourt again for a chance to punch their ticket to the AJHL final; last season the two teams met under the exact same circumstances with Whitecourt as the North leader, however, the Storm took four straight to advance.

Both squads will have some more rest before the North final, as both first-round match-ups down south sit at 3-2, with their next games scheduled for Sunday, and a game 7 on Tuesday, if needed.

Currently, the one-seeded Canmore Eagles have the reigning champs, the Calgary Canucks on the brink of elimination, while the Camrose Kodiaks are looking to upset the Drumheller Dragons.
