Storm-Wolverines playoff series starts Friday

The North Division Final of the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Inter Pipeline Cup AJHL Playoffs is set to get underway this Easter weekend in Whitecourt.

The Grande Prairie Storm will hit the road for Game 1 at JDA Place on Friday, Apr. 3. Game 2 will be played on Saturday, also in Whitecourt. The series comes to Bonnetts Energy Centre for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday, Apr. 7 and Wednesday, Apr. 8. Puck drop time for all four games will be 7:00 p.m.

The Wolverines advanced to Round 2 after beating the Fort McMurray Oil Barons in five games. Grande Prairie swept the Lloydminster Bobcats in their first-round series.

This will be the second year in a row that these two squads meet in the AJHL North Final, after Grande Prairie swept the Wolverines last season.
