Shelter in place order rescinded and three arrested in Atikameg

Details are limited, but High Prairie RCMP have arrested three individuals following a shelter in place order that was issued late Tuesday night in Atikameg.

Just before midnight (March 31), Mounties were looking for four armed men that were last seen on Highway 750 near Nahachick Road in the remote northern community. Officers were also asking that drivers not stop or pick up any hitchhikers while the shelter in place order was in effect. The order has since been rescinded.

High Prairie RCMP gave an update on the situation just after 6 a.m. Wednesday (April 1), that three suspects had been arrested. More information on this is anticipated by officials.
