La Crete Lumber Barons win Junior B Hockey Provincials

The North West Junior Hockey League now has bragging rights of having the best Junior B hockey team in Alberta this season.
The La Crete Lumber Barons are headed back home with new hardware after competing in the Alberta Junior B Hockey Provincials in Lloydminster held from April 1-5.
The Lumber Barons went undefeated in round robin play; winning all four games, and advanced to the gold medal matchup on Sunday. La Crete won with a score of 7-2 in the final game over the Medicine Hat Cubs.
Drew Friesen of the Lumber Barons also won the Top Forward award.
