Holy Family Catholic Regional Division has announced its nominee for the 2025-2026 Excellence in Catholic Education Award.

Presented annually by the Council of Catholic School Superintendents of Alberta, the awards honour teachers who inspire students, nurture faith, and demonstrate a commitment to Catholic education.

Jessica Hesse of St. Andrew’s School has been selected as HFCRD’s nominee in recognition of her faith-filled leadership, collaborative spirit, and meaningful impact on both the school and parish community.

“Jessica’s dedication to Catholic education is evident in every aspect of her work,” said St. Andrew’s School Principal Matthew Morrisey. “She consistently models Catholic values while inspiring her students to grow in faith, deepen their understanding, and strive to exceed their own expectations. Her compassion and commitment make her an integral part of our school and parish community.”

“Jessica embodies the spirit of Catholic education through her strong faith and dedication to nurturing the whole child,” says HFCRD Superintendent Victoria Cornick. “Her leadership in preparing students for the Sacraments of Confirmation and Reconciliation reflects her deep commitment to Catholic teachings and her ability to make faith both meaningful and accessible to students.”

Hesse will be honoured alongside the other award nominees during the CCSSA’s retreat in Kananaskis Apr. 30 – May 3, 2026.
