Flags at half mast for Vimy Ridge Day of Remembrance

Flags at City of Grande Prairie facilities are at half mast today.
The flags are lowered to mark the National Day of Remembrance of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.
The World War One battle lasted four days in 1917 and resulted in the loss of almost 4,000 soldiers from Canada and the United Kingdom.
The Town of Grimshaw, the Town of Peace River, and the Municipal District of Greenview have also announced their own flags will be lowered.
