NWP & GPDCC partner for work-integrated learning program
Northwestern Polytechnic is partnering with the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce to expand work-integrated learning opportunities.
NWP is seeking chamber members open to working with students during the fall and winter semesters, giving them access to a range of student-led supports, including strategic marketing plans, research and analysis, logistics planning and more.
“This partnership reflects exactly what the Chamber strives to create: meaningful connections that strengthen our business community and drive regional growth,” said Wendy Thomas, CEO of the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce. “By bringing together the innovation and energy of Northwestern Polytechnic students with the experience and leadership of our members, we are supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and building a strong future workforce.”
To mark the launch of the partnership, NWP and the Chamber had students present business proposals through a “shark tank” style business pitch competition Apr. 9, with student Tyson Black winning the grand prize of a Meteoric Leadership Consulting Package valued at nearly $1,500.
