24-hour Fairview Health Complex ED disruption

The Fairview Health Complex Emergency Department will be doctor-less for 24 hours starting this morning (Thursday, Apr. 16).

Starting at 7 a.m. the ED will be without an on-site physician until 7 a.m. on Friday, Apr. 17; however nursing staff will remain on site for urgent triage, assessments, and referrals.

Anyone with an emergency can still call 911, as calls will be rerouted to neighbouring facilities.

AHS says this is a temporary disruption and it could be cancelled if coverage is found.
