Applications open for FCC AgriSpirit Fund

Farm Credit Canada says applications are now open for its FCC AgriSpirit Fund.

Charities and non-profit groups in communities with fewer than 50,000 people can apply for grants to help with projects.

There is a total of $1.5 million in the fund. Individual applicants can get between $10,000 and $25,000.

The application deadline is May 15. The groups receiving grants will be announced this fall.

FCC says that since this idea started in 2004, 1778 projects across the country have shared $24 million.
