Beekeepers Field Day, SARDA both marking milestones this year

This will be a milestone year for an annual event and a local agriculture organization.

Beekeepers Field Day

The 70th edition of the Beekeepers Field Day will be held June 26 at the Beaverlodge Research Farm.

Anyone who wants to come is welcome. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The guest speaker this year will be Laval University researcher Dr. Pierre Giovenazzo.

SARDA

SARDA Ag. Research will be hosting a 40th anniversary celebration August 5 and 6.

It will be hosting an Agricultural Showcase at the SARDA facility on Highway 2 near Donnelly.

SARDA says the day will include a crop tour, seminars, a farmer’s market, family activities and a catered supper.
