HFCRD announce new principal for St. Stephen’s School

Apr 18, 2026 | 9:02 AM

Holy Family Catholic Regional Division has announced a new principal for St. Stephen’s School in Valleyview.

Sandy Campbell will be taking the main role after serving as assistant principal since 2008.

Campbell is originally from Port Hood, Cape Breton, but moved to Alberta in 2004 and has a Bachelor of Arts from St. Francis Xavier University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Maine at Fort Kent.

“I am honoured to step into the role of principal at St. Stephen’s,” says Campbell. “It has been a privilege to serve this school community, and I look forward to continuing to support our students, staff, and families as we grow together in faith and learning.”

Campbell has worked as assistant principal at St. Stephen’s since 2008 and was recognized in 2023 with the Excellence in Catholic Education Award for her role as the school’s Faith Permeation Coordinator.

“Sandy’s leadership, commitment to Catholic education, and genuine care for her school community make her an excellent choice for principal. We are confident that she will continue to build on the strong foundation at St. Stephen’s School and lead with integrity, compassion, and vision.”

Campbell officially becomes St. Stephen’s principal in fall of 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.
