Horse Lake fibre optics project complete
High-speed internet has now made its way to Horse Lake First Nation, as part of the Canada-Alberta Broadband Initiative.
According to GPNetworks, the fibre-optic infrastructure has numerous benefits for the community, “supporting education, healthcare access, economic development, and overall quality of life.”
Now, over 170 households, the band office and other band services can all “benefit from improved broadband access and digital opportunity.”
GPNetworks CEO Kobus De Jager says they are “proud to have delivered infrastructure that supports the community, and helps create opportunities for residents, local services, and future growth.”
