Aquatera announces battery donation recipients

Aquatera Utilities has announced the first-quarter recipients of their 2026 Battery Donation program.

The program provides a safe way for customers to recycle household batteries at Aquatera’s eco centre and landfill, with proceeds going to charity.

The 2026 first-quarter recipients are the 2014 Rebels, the Grande Prairie Public Library, Grande Prairie Taekwondo, and Grande Prairie Technical Search and Rescue.

“These organizations play an important role in strengthening our communities,” said Vaughn Bend, chief executive officer of Aquatera. “This program demonstrates how everyday actions, like recycling batteries, can contribute to meaningful local impact.”
