Geneva hosting World Seniors, Mixed Doubles Curling Championships

There is still curling going on, as Geneva, Switzerland, is hosting a pair of international events.

The World Senior Curling Championships and the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship are both taking place.

Canada is being represented in the senior championships by Bruce Korte’s rink from Saskatchewan and the Sherry Middaugh team from Ontario.

The men play Nigeria in their first game Saturday, April 25, while the women open against Philippines the same day. There are 36 men’s and 20 women’s teams taking part.

Colton and Kadriana Lott are Canada’s teams at the mixed doubles event.

They will play South Korea in their first game on Saturday, April 25.

Colton Lott also won the Brier this year with the Matt Dunstone rink.

There are 20 mixed doubles teams competing for the title.
