Peace Region municipalities recognizing Workers’ Mourning Day

Multiple Peace Region municipalities are acknowledging Workers’ Mourning Day today, April 28, remembering people who have lost their lives or suffered illness or injury as a result of their work.

The City of Grande Prairie says today reinforces everyone’s shared responsibility to keep one another safe.

The city is joining the MD of Greenview, the Town of Grimshaw, and other municipalities in lowering their flags to half-mast today in recognition of the lives affected.
