Grande Prairie resident wins $220K lottery

A Grande Prairie local has won $220,284.90.

Britney M. discovered she won the Lighting Lotto draw Feb. 21 after buying the ticket at Giant Tiger on 100 Street in Grande Prairie.

Britney says she hadn’t been planning on buying a ticket that day, only to cash a different one in, when she bought a ticket and saw she had won the draw.

She says the winnings are a big stress relief and a big surprise.
