County of Grande Prairie launching 8th Annual Business Survey May 4

May 2, 2026 | 8:01 AM

Business owners in the County of Grande Prairie can participate in a survey to help establish business priorities.

The county is launching the eighth annual Business Retention & Expansion survey to better understand the experiences, challenges, and plans of local businesses.

Starting Monday, May 4, the county will contact businesses to participate in the 15-minute survey by telephone.

Officials say results from the 2025 survey led to the creation of the county’s business retention and expansion infrastructure and technology grant.

“This is how we turn feedback into action,” says County Reeve Amanda McDonald. “We listen, we learn, and we respond with programs that support our business community.”

Ballad Group has partnered with the County to deliver the survey and analyze results.

“The insights we gather don’t sit on a shelf,” says Rory Tarant, the County’s General Manager of Corporate Services and Strategy. “They directly shape how we support businesses today and plan for the future.”

Businesses that want to ensure they are part of the survey can contact the county’s economic development team.
