Weyerhaeuser reports first quarter profit

Weyerhaeuser is reporting a first-quarter profit of $156 million on sales of $1.7 billion. 

The company says in a news release that it recorded an $83 million profit over the same time last year and a profit of $74 million over the last three months of 2025. 

Weyerhaeuser owns a sawmill located south of Grande Prairie. 

The company’s wood products division made $42 million in the first quarter and had a $78 million loss in the final quarter of last year.
