Heavy police presence ended in Peace River

Update on Monday, May 4, at 7:45 p.m. – The police operation has ended and Mounties are thanking the public for their cooperation. No details have been shared by RCMP about the operation.

Peace River RCMP say there is a heavy police presence in the area around 107 to 111 Avenues and 91 to 93 Streets.

Mounties say they are “conducting a police operation in that area.”

RCMP are asking people to avoid the area and not to post any pictures on social media.
