Youth Week events this week

Youth Week is back in Grande Prairie this week with a lineup of activities aimed at encouraging youth to try new things.

A major focus of the event is the Youth Career Discover Expo taking place Thursday, May 7.

“Youth Week creates opportunity for young people to explore their interests and start thinking about what comes next,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. “The Youth Career Discovery Expo is a strong example of how we’re supporting community empowerment and livability by connecting youth with real opportunities and experiences.”

Other events include; a showcase of the flowrider at Eastlink Centre on Tuesday, a confidence building workshop Friday, as well as a viewing of the classic film Jaws from the pool.
