New STEAMS kits announced for PWPSD schools thanks to local sponsors

Peace Wapiti Public School Division is thanking community partners for funding new educational tools for two schools.

Clairmont Community School and Whispering Ridge Community School have received STEAMS kits thanks to the support of JMS Construction and Absolute HVAC Inc.

STEAM Kits introduce students in Grades 1-6 to skilled trades in fun and interactive ways while meeting Alberta Education curriculum outcomes in math, science, language arts, and more.

PWPSD Assistant Superintendent Penny Rose says she is extremely grateful for the community support.

“We have committed to providing these kits, which cost $3200 each, to every one of our schools, so any sponsorship support is greatly appreciated.”

Rose says the division is working with Grande Prairie and District Catholic Schools, Grande Prairie Public School Division, and the Grande Prairie Construction Association to find support to get these kits into every school in Grande Prairie.

The Division is thanking JMS and Absolute for their donations and inviting any organizations interested in sponsoring more kits to reach out.
