Detour in place for Hwy 685

Municipal District of Peace has set up a detour in response to failing infrastructure on a bridge along Highway 685.

The highway has been closed between Range Road 244 and 245, and La Prairie Group has set up a detour to divert north and south traffic on the range roads and east and west traffic on Township Road 830.

The detour is approximately 5 miles long, and drivers should anticipate delays as well as worsening conditions due to a lack of dust control.

The MD and La Prairie will monitor the detour and set up a temporary speed limit if needed.
