County campgrounds open for the season

May Long weekend is upon us, which marks the unofficial start of camping season in Alberta.

On Friday, May 15, the County of Grande Prairie invites residents to swap their “screens for sunsets and roasting marshmallows” as all County campgrounds, trails, and day use area’s open for the summer.

They do note sites will be offered through both first-come first-serve as well as reservation bookings. 

According to County Director of Recreation and Culture, Hayley Kramps, these “campgrounds make it easy for residents and visitors to unplug, slow down, and explore the places that make our County a great place.”
