PWPSD raised over $58,000 in its 2025 Terry Fox Runs

Peace Wapiti Public School Division is sharing its fundraising totals from last year’s Terry Fox Run.

In 2025, PWPSD reached $58,666.80 in donations to the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research.

Two PWPSD schools made the top 25 for Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut in donations.

Whispering Ridge ranked 10th in the Elementary Division with $11,480. Spirit River Regional Academy placed 13th in the secondary division with $7,962.

To date, PWPSD has raised over $1,096,888.51 in their combined Terry Fox runs, with Penson school having raised the highest combined total of $112,333.71.

Superintendent Shawn O’Shea says the dedication that PWPSD schools and communities show to the Terry Fox Foundation each year is inspiring.

“Highlighting Terry’s remarkable impact, and continuing his vision for cancer treatment, has always been embraced by our schools and communities,” says O’Shea. “Thank you to the Terry Fox Foundation, and all who volunteer, participate, and donate to the cause.”
