Victim of vehicle-pedestrian collision dies say police

May 22, 2026 | 12:00 AM

Clairmont RCMP say the person injured after being struck by a vehicle along Highway 666 has died.

Mounties say the victim was a 30-year-old man from Stony Plain. His name was not released.

Police said earlier that on May 8, just after 9 p.m., they got a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Highway 666 between Highway 40 and Grovedale.

RCMP say in a news release that witnesses told them that a newer model Ford F350 was pulled over along 666 near O’Brien Park and that anyone inside may have also witnessed the collision.

Mounties ask that anyone in that vehicle, or members of the public who can identify the vehicle or have dashcam footage of that area, to call the Clairmont RCMP at 780-830-5114.
