Beaverlodge ED to be without physician for 24 hours May 28-29

The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital emergency department will be without an on-site physician for 24 hours starting Thursday, May 28.

Due to a clinical personnel shortage and an inability to secure temporary coverage, there will be no on-site physician from 8:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28 until 8:00 a.m. Friday, May 29.

Patients are still asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency, as EMS will remain available to reroute callers to surrounding facilities.

Nursing staff will remain on-site in the Emergency Department, providing urgent triage and assessments, and the Virtual Emergency Physician coverage may be available for all or part of this service advisory.
