The unofficial results from Stompede posted to Rodeo Canada’s website show that two Peace Country competitors won their events.

Jennifer Neudorf and her horse Roxette stopped the clock in 15.79 seconds in the barrel racing during the rodeo slack on Wednesday.

Neudorf is originally from Grande Prairie but now lives near Bluffton.

Grande Prairie’s Ryder Topolinski won the junior steer riding with a score of 75 during Friday’s rodeo performance.

Four Alberta cowgirls tied for first in the breakaway roping. Lawrie Neal of Alix, Shaya Biever of Claresholm, and Kylie and Brandi Whiteside of Longview all had a time of 2.1 seconds.

Albertans won most of the other events. Clint Laye of Cadogan is first in bareback, Quinten Taylor of Parkland in saddle broncs, Shane Smith of Wimborne in tie-down roping, Jordan Ness of Drayton Valley in steer wrestling, and Eylam Podolak of Stoney Plain in novice bareback.

Sawyer Hutchinson of Grasmere, B.C., took first in novice saddle broncs.

Mexico’s Edgar Durazo is tops in bull riding. Americans Riley Wakefield and Jon Peterson won the team roping.
