Beaverlodge Regional Hospital Emergency Department to be without a doctor twice this week

Jun 2, 2026 | 1:20 PM

Alberta Health Services says the Emergency Department at the Beaverlodge Regional Hospital will be without an on-site physician twice this week.

There won’t be a doctor there from 8 p.m tonight (Tuesday, June 2) until 8 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, June 3).

The second disruption is planned to run from 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, until 8 a.m. on Friday, June 5.

AHS says people with emergencies can still call 911 as calls will be rerouted to neighbouring facilities.

Nurses will be on site for triage, assessments and referrals.

The Virtual Emergency Physician Program is also available at the hospital in Beaverlodge.

People with medical concerns that are not emergencies can still call Health Link 24/7 at 811.
